Viewing Programs |

You use the Viewing Programs table to specify programs that can be used for viewing attached files. For example, if you have documents that can be viewed with Microsoft Word, you would add Word to the list of Viewing Programs. Similarly, if you have online schematic diagrams that can be displayed with CAD/CAM software, you would add the CAD/CAM program(s) to the list. For more information, see Attachments.
The Viewing Programs table can also specify programs for printing drawings and documents, if printing a particular type of file uses a different piece of software than displaying that file on the screen. In many cases, you use the same file for both viewing and printing; for example, with a Microsoft Word document, you use Microsoft Word both for looking at the file on the screen and for printing the file to a printer. However, some types of CAD/CAM files use one program for viewing and a different program for printing. In this case, you can record both the printing and viewing commands in the Viewing Programs table.
Note: When you first install MainBoss, the Viewing Programs table will contain an entry for Windows Notepad and possibly several other standard Windows programs. |
