Shipping Modes

When you create a purchase order with MainBoss, it is often useful to specify how the goods should be shipped: by mail, by courier, by direct freight, etc. The Shipping Modes table lists all the shipment methods that your organization might request, making it possible for these terms to appear on purchase orders.

The Shipping Modes table is a simple table; for more information, see Simple Tables. You access the Shipping Modes browser with Inventory —> Tables —> Shipping Modes. Entries in the Shipping Modes table consist of:

Code: A unique identifier code (10 characters maximum)
Description: A description of the shipping mode (40 characters maximum)

For example, a code might be COUR and the description might be OVERNIGHT COURIER.
