The Manpower Schedule lists scheduled corrective and preventive maintenance activities for personnel and outside contractors. For example, at the end of each week, you can run off a report of scheduled maintenance for the next week. If you want, you can use this report to project scheduled work for an entire year, to help you balance work among your personnel.
Note: The Manpower Schedule only shows corrective maintenance jobs and preventive maintenance jobs that are scheduled by calendar dates. It cannot show preventive maintenance tasks that are scheduled by meter readings, since there is no way to anticipate when a particular meter reading will be reached. |
To obtain a manpower schedule, select Work Orders —> Reports —> ManPower Schedule from the menu. MainBoss opens a window that contains the following:
- Date: Specifies the range of dates for which you want a schedule. The default is for the next week; for example, if it's currently Wednesday, the default is to give you the schedule for today until next Tuesday.
- Task: Can be used to restrict the report to a range of preventive maintenance tasks.
- Inside: Lets you restrict the report to cover a specified set of trades and/or personnel.
- Trade: Can restrict the report to a selected set of trades. For more about trades, see Trades.
- Personnel: Can restrict the report to a selected set of personnel. For more about personnel, see Personnel.
- Personnel Name: Is the same as "Personnel" but lets you select by a worker's name rather than identification code.
- Outside: Lets you restrict the report to cover a specified set of outside contractors.
- Vendor Type: Can restrict the report to a selected set of vendor types. For more about vendor types, see Vendor Types.
- Vendor: Can restrict the report to a selected range of vendors. For more about vendors, see Vendors.
- Vendor Name: Is the same as "Vendor" but lets you select by a vendor's name rather than identification code.
- Total Daily: Tells MainBoss that the report should include day-by-day totals for work hours and labor costs.
- Total Weekly: Tells MainBoss that the report should include week-by-week totals for work hours and labor costs.
- Total Monthly: Tells MainBoss that the report should include month-by-month totals for work hours and labor costs.
- Inside: Checkmarking this button indicates that you want the report to include information about your own personnel.
- Outside: Checkmarking this button indicates that you want the report to include information about outside contractors.
- Summary: Selecting this produces a report in summary form. For each day, week or month (depending on whether you have selected Total Daily, Total Weekly, or Total Monthly), the report contains a single line for each worker giving the total number of hours and labor costs.
- Detail: Selecting this produces a more detailed report. The report lists information about each scheduled task; this includes the task number, the task's subject line, the date/time, and the equipment or space scheduled for maintenance.
- Preview: Displays the report on the screen. This gives you a chance to see what will be printed out when you click Print.
- Print: Prints the report on the current printer. (The name of the current printer is shown above the row of buttons.)
- Print Setup: Lets you change printers if your computer is connected to more than one printer. It also lets you change the page setup for the printer, including paper size, margin size, and so on.
- Export: Writes report information to a file, in a format that can be used by other programs. There are two possible formats:
- Text format writes the information as plain text.
- DBF format writes the information as a DBF database. This can be opened by programs like Microsoft Excel and Access. For more information, see Exporting Data.
- Close: Closes the print window.
