Vendor Types

In MainBoss, contractors and suppliers are stored in the Vendors table. You can group vendors together by assigning them a common vendor type. For example, you might have one type for vendors who sell you electrical supplies, another for piping, and so on.

The Vendor Type table is a simple table; for more information, see Simple Tables. You access the Vendor Type browser with Tables —> Vendor Types. Entries in the Vendor Type table consist of:

• Code: A unique identifier code (10 characters maximum)
• Description: A longer description (30 characters maximum)

For example, a code might be ELEC and the description might be ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES.
