The Meters table lists all the meters that you have told MainBoss about. The Meters browser is the typical starting place for entering new meter readings.
To open the Meters browser, select Units —> Browse Meters from the menu. This opens a window that contains the following:
- Meter: The identification codes for all the meters currently defined.
- Description: A brief description for each meter.
- Unit: The identification code for the equipment that contains each meter.
- Edit: Lets you change the currently selected entry.
- New: Adds a new entry to the list.
- Clone: Adds a new entry to the list, starting with information copied from the currently selected entry.
- Delete: Deletes the selected entry from the table.
- Print: Prints all or part of the table. For more information, see Printing Meter Information.
- Search: Searches for a particular meter in the table.
- New Reading: Lets you record a new reading for the currently selected meter.
- Done: Closes the browser window.
