Repair Closing Codes

Repair Closing Codes are used to identify recurring problems and to spot trends. Examples of repair closing descriptions might be "Reset Circuit Breaker", "Unplug Toilet", etc. Maintenance staff can use these codes to identify the actions taken to correct problems.

In MainBoss, the term "repair closing code" means the same thing as "failure code."

If a particular repair closing code is used more frequently than others, you can use Administration —> Preferences —> Work Orders to specify that as the default repair closing code.

The Repair Closing Codes table is a simple table; for more information, see Simple Tables. You access the Repair Closing Codes browser with Work Orders —> Tables —> Repair Closing Codes. Entries in the Repair Closing Codes table consist of:

For example, a code might be VAN and the description might be REPAIRS DUE TO VANDALISM.
