The Equipment Types table makes it possible to group pieces of equipment into classes. For example, you might create classes like pumps, die-cutting machines, exhaust fans, and forklifts. While it is not necessary to create any equipment types at all, most MainBoss users find that such classes are a helpful method of organization.

The Equipment Types table is a simple table; for more information, see Simple Tables. You access the Equipment Types browser with Units —> Tables —> Equipment Types. Entries in the Equipment Types table consist of:
For example, a code might be FORK and the description might be FORKLIFT TRUCKS.
