Company Information

MainBoss lets you record various types of general information about your organization, for use in reports, purchase orders, and various other functions. For example, you can specify a bitmap containing your company logo, for use in printed purchase orders sent to vendors.

To enter company information, select Administration —> Preferences —> Company Information from the menu. MainBoss displays a window that contains the following:

Company Name: The name of your company.
Company Address: The street address of your company (or the building that serves as headquarters for your maintenance department).
Company Logo: A bitmap that can be used as a logo on printed work and purchase orders. Click the Select button and use it to find an appropriate Windows bitmap file (if your company logo is available in Windows bitmap form).
MainBoss may adjust the size of the bitmap to make your logo fit the space available on the work or purchase order. If the original bitmap is too small, MainBoss may stretch it; if the original bitmap is too big, MainBoss may shrink it. If you do not like the way that the logo appears on purchase orders, you may want to use a different bitmap whose size is closer to the size of the space available. (On the report, the bitmap will be 2.4 inches wide and .9 inches high, about 6.1 by 2.3 cm.)
Select: Opens a standard Windows file locator window to let you find a bitmap file that contains your company logo.
Save: Saves the information currently displayed in the window.
Cancel: Closes the window. MainBoss discards any changes that have not already been saved.
