The Obsolete Equipment browser lets you examine the records in the Obsolete Equipment table. To open the browser, select Units —> Obsolete from the menu. MainBoss displays a window that contains the following:
- Building: The building where the obsolete equipment is located.
- Equipment: An identification code for each piece of equipment.
- Description: A one-line description of each piece of equipment.
- Edit: Lets you edit the entry that is currently selected in the list.
- Delete: Deletes an existing entry. Deleting an entry from the table completely discards all information about that equipment.
- Activate: Puts an obsolete piece of equipment back into service. The currently selected entry in the Obsolete Equipment table is moved back into the normal Equipment table. This process clears the obsolete code entry in the equipment record.
- Print: Prints one or more entries. For more information on printing equipment entries, see Units.
- Search: Searches for a particular record in the table.
- Done: Closes the browser.
For more about browsers in general, see Browsers and Editors. For more about the format of equipment records, see Creating and Editing an Equipment Description.
