The Generated Work Order report shows information on what work orders will be generated if you click Generate in the window for generating preventive maintenance work orders.
The report contains an entry for each work order that will be generated. These are grouped into sections, with one section per building; within each section, work orders are sorted according to the unit (equipment or space) involved. For each work order, the report provides the same information discussed in Previewing Generated Work Orders but in a format that is easier to read.
To obtain the report, click the Report button in the window for generating preventive maintenance work orders. Clicking this button displays a window that contains the following:
- Task: Lets you restrict the report to a given range of tasks.
- Building: Lets you restrict the report to work orders in a given range of buildings.
- Unit: Lets you restrict the report to work orders on a given range of units.
- Preview: Displays the report on the screen. This gives you a chance to see what will be printed out when you click Print.
- Print: Prints the selected report on the current printer. (The name of the current printer is shown above the row of buttons.)
- Print Setup: Lets you change printers if your computer is connected to more than one printer. It also lets you change the page setup for the printer, including paper size, margin size, and so on.
- Export: Writes report information to a file, in a format that can be used by other programs. There are two possible formats:
- Text format writes the information as plain text.
- DBF format writes the information as a DBF database. This can be opened by programs like Microsoft Excel and Access. For more information, see Exporting Data.
- Close: Closes the print window.
