Special Instructions:
1. Review manufacturer's instructions.
2. Schedule service with operating personnel.
3. Secure and tag associated steam and water valves.
4. Allow the tank to cool before starting work.
Items to Check & Initial Completion:
1. All Tanks (where applicable):
a.___ Drain the tank.
b.___ Examine exterior of tank, including fittings, gauges, manholes, and
handholes for signs of leaks or corrosion; correct as needed.
c.___ Inspect structural supports and insulation or coverings for defects or
deterioration.
d.___ Open tank and remove rust or chemical deposits from interior tank
surfaces.
e.___ Remove and clean all spray nozzles.
f.___ Thoroughly inspect interior of tank for pitting, cracking, and other
defects.
2. Lime Water Softener.
a.___ Dismantle vacuum breakers. Inspect stem, valve seat, and spring. Lap
seat if required, and reassemble.
b.___ Inspect, clean, and flush nozzle ring.
c.___ Remove vent condenser heads and clean tubes.
d.___ Inspect and clean sight glass, level indicators, and level controllers.
3. Zeolite Water Softener.
a.___ Check filter bed for proper level.
b.___ Take sample of zeolite resin according to manufacturer's instructions,
and send to a lab for analysis.
c.___ Check the operation of the multiport valve.
4. Anthracite Water Softener.
a.___ Check the filter bed for proper level.

Plus Pipe wrenches to 24"
Tubing cutters
Flaring tool
Small acetylene outfit
Packing tool kit and packing
3/4" socket set
Crescent wrenches to 14"
2. Grinding compound and lapping block.
3. 12 volt drop light.
