The Equipment browser lets you work with the Equipment table, creating new entries and editing existing ones. To open the Equipment browser, select Units —> Equipment from the menu. This opens a window that contains the following:
- Building: The building where the equipment is located.
- Equipment: An identification code for each piece of equipment.
- Description: A one-line description of each piece of equipment.
- Edit: Lets you edit the equipment entry that is currently selected in the list.
- New: Creates a new equipment entry. For more information, see Creating and Editing an Equipment Description.
- Clone: Creates a new equipment entry, copying most of the information for the new entry from the (old) entry that is currently selected in the list.
- Delete: Deletes an existing entry. Note that all associated information about the equipment is removed from MainBoss's database and cannot be restored. Contrast this with declaring a piece of equipment obsolete, in which case the equipment is removed from the list of active equipment, but the equipment information is retained in the Obsolete Equipment table. - Print: Prints one or more entries. For more information on printing equipment entries, see Units.
- Search: Searches for a particular record in the table.
- Done: Closes the browser.
