The calling sequence for KOTNOW is the same as the KOUT derail. The action is the same, except that KOTNOW forces keyboard output from a partly full buffer rather than waiting for it to fill. This allows users to substitute KOTNOW for KOUT in subsystems with low output, where several messages may stack up in the buffer before its contents are sent to the terminal by KOUT.
