Special Instructions:
1. Review manufacturer's instructions.
2. Pump maintenance should be scheduled to coincide with drive motor PM
Inspection MOTOREL>1HP-A, and fire pump PM Inspection FPFPMP-A where
applicable.
4. De-energize, lock-out and tag circuit.
Items to Check & Initial Completion:
1. ___ Check that base bolts are securely fastened.
2. ___ After shut-down, drain pump housing, check suction, discharge and check
valve for holding.
3. ___ Remove cover, gland, and packing.
4. ___ Remove corrosion from impeller shaft and housing cover.
5. ___ On pumps with oil ring lubricated bearings, drain oil, flush, and fill to
proper oil level with new approved type oil.
6. ___ Inspect water rings, seals, and impeller.
7. ___ Clean pump suction strainers, and pump packing water seal filter/strainer.
8. ___ Replace packing, reassemble.
9. ___ Start and stop pump, noting vibration, pressure, and action of check
valve.
10.___ Adjust packing.
11.___ Lubricate impeller shaft bearings. Do not over lubricate.
12.___ Check motor and pump alignment.
13.___ Check drive shaft coupling.
14.___ Clean up work area and remove all debris.
