Special Instructions:
1. Review the Procedure for "Confined Space Entry."
2. Review the requirement for Respiratory Protection.
3. Wear appropriate protective clothing.
4. No open flames or smoking.
5. Use barricade around manhole.
6. Provide ventilation within manhole. Ensure that the exhaust from the gas or
diesel-powered air compressor or blower is directed well away from the
manhole.
Items to Check & Initial Completion:
1.___ Test for gas.
2.___ Pump out water.
3.___ Clean out trash, debris, etc., and dispose of properly.
4.___ Inspect cable, racks, splices, etc.
5.___ Inspect structural features.
