In order to view exported data in Microsoft Excel, you must export it using "Export for Excel (includes schema in other file) (*.xml)". For further information, see Exporting Data from a MainBoss Table.
Once you have exported the data to a file, you can import the data into Excel. To do so, you use the Developer section of Excel's control ribbon. (If you do not see Developer as one of the sections of the ribbon, go to Excel's File section and click Options. Under Customize Ribbon, look at the list under "Main Tabs", checkmark the Developer box, then click OK.)
In the Developer section of the ribbon, click Import. Excel will open a standard Windows file dialog; use this to specify the XML file that contains the exported data. Click Open and Excel will open the file, displaying the contents.
