A unit record contains information about a single unit. This could be, for example, a piece of equipment, a vehicle, an office, a hotel room, or anything else that your maintenance department has to maintain.
Because the term "unit" includes such a wide range of possibilities, some of the fields in a unit record may not be relevant to some types of units.
