MC - modify the attributes of a catalog.
Usage:
acce mc catname[ option]*
Options:
- PASS/passwd/
- changes the password to "passwd"; this password
must be 12 characters or less. The default is no change.
To remove a password, specify "pass//".
- NEWNAM/name/ or NAME/name/
- changes the name of the catalog to "name"; this
must be 12 characters or less.
- permission
- specifies a general permission, applicable to all users
except those with specific permissions.
"Permission" is one of those described in
"expl access permission".
- permission/userid,...,userid/
- specifies a specific permission that will be applied to
the userid or list of userids separated by commas given
inside the slashes. "Permission" is one of
those described in "expl access
permission".
- V
- calls CLIST to verify the modifications made.
Examples:
- acce mc /cat read newnam/xx/
- changes the catalog "cat" under the current
userid to have general read permission and a new name of
"xx".
- acce mc fbaggins/cat write/user1,user2/ pass/never/
- changes the catalog "cat" under the userid
"fbaggins" to have a password of
"never" and gives specific write permission to
the userids "user1" and "user2".
