Special Instructions:

1.  Use rubber gloves, apron, and plastic face shield.
2.  Do not spark battery terminals or smoke while performing maintenance.
3.  Review manufacturer's instructions.


Items to Check & Initial Completion:

1.___ Inspect for structural defects and deposits.
2.___ Clean off corrosion deposits and apply silicone grease to terminals.
3.___ Inspect water level and take specific gravity readings.  If reading is less
      than specified by battery manufacturer, the battery should be replaced with
      a freshly charged one.  The old battery should be charged and tested before
      discarding.
4.___ Add distilled water to raise electrolyte to proper level.
5.___ Push test buttons and observe light operation.  (See manufacturers
      instructions.)
6.___ Check vent holes.
7.___ Clean exterior with dry cloth, Paint if necessary with an
      appropriate type and color paint.
8.___ Unplug unit to check operation.
9.___ Clean up from work area.

          Voltmeter - Ohmmeter - Milliammeter
          Clamp on meter(volt - ohm - amp meter)
          Soldering kit
          1/8" 25' fish tape
          Burnishing tool
2.  Distilled water
3.  Cleaning equipment and materials
4.  Hydrometer
5.  Silicone grease
6.  Acid resistant rubber apron, gloves, and face shield.
