WAIT - cause the terminal to wait without disconnecting you.

Syntax:

wait

Description:

WAIT will hold the terminal in an idle state for up to one hour. To get out of this idle state before the hour is up, simply hit "break".

WAIT types a "z" to indicate it is waiting, then types another every 60 seconds after it starts. WAIT will indicate if you have mail waiting, and it will print out any APBs or TSS specs that the operator issues.

Once your time has run out, you have ten minutes to type something in before the system disconnects you.

Warning: if the system is busy and you leave your terminal for more than ten minutes, another user has the right to sign you off and use the terminal.
