OP - operation code trace in the trace package

Description:

An operation code trace may be used to display every occurrence of the use of one or more selected OP codes, provided the instruction using the OP code is in one of the specified tracing regions. When this selection is given in response to "type?", the user will be asked to enter the OP codes he wishes to trace; viz:

enter ops:

At this time, the user must respond with one or more mnemonic and/or octal op codes. As usual, a blank or comma may be used to separate multiple specifications. If the user desires to trace the DRL (002) OP code, he may optionally specify a list of only those derail service functions he wishes to trace. This list, parenthetically enclosed, must immediately follow the DRL OP code specification with no intervening blank or comma. The list itself may consist of one or more service function names and/or their equivalent octal values. Suppose, for example, it is desired to trace all repeat-type instructions and the derail service functions DIO, FILSP and REW. The response might look like this:

enter ops: rpt,rpl,rpd,drl(dio,rilsp,rew)

or equivalently,

enter ops: 520,500,560,2(1,13,12)
