Description:

TABSET always assumes that tab positions start numbering at one (the same as the GCOS JCL convention).

When you issue the TABSET command, you will be given a message telling you what to do next. You should hold down the "clr" switch and press return when TABSET prints out an "r". This will clear all the tabs that are currently set. Next TABSET will space across the line, printing a "t" at every place you should set a tab. Each time it prints a "t" it pauses for you to set the tab stop. Finally, TABSET checks the resultant settings by issuing <tab>T<tab>T, etc. This final line should match the preceding line.
