SYSTEM - the system command.

Syntax:

system [command line]

Description:

SYST clears all your nested subsystems and commands, returning you to "none" level. It then executes the given command. All nested subsystems, programs, and commands are terminated; e.g. if used from within FRED you lose everything in your buffers.

This command is useful for getting out of EC files such as your .init. file, and for going into another subsystem without adding a level to your program stack. (Of course, after you do a SYST, you can't return to the EC file.)
